We are Jay and Barbara Brooks. We met in Texas over 35 years ago and transplanted to Michigan where we raised our family. Through the years we've enjoyed decorating our home with unique and interesting treasures, and creating cozy rooms we love living in.
Now empty-nesters, the timing seemed right for a new adventure. We had often dreamed about having a home décor store, so in May 2016 we opened Reinspired Treasures, a retail store in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We brought together some amazing local artisans and vintage dealers to help fill the store with an eclectic mix of vintage and new décor, unique gifts, cottage creations, boutique clothing and other fun things to help fill your life with a little joy. Many describe Reinspired Treasures as their “Happy Place,” and that makes us happy too.
Today, Reinspired Treasures continues to maintain an ever-changing beautiful mix of unique new and vintage home decor, hand-made artisan creations, boutique clothing & jewelry, furniture and more. We hope to inspire people to experience joy through the little things that help bring more coziness and happiness to life and home. People from all over the United States visit this unique store annually.

It has been such a blessing to be part of this amazing community over the past 10 years. While we imagined this anniversary to be just another milestone, after much discussion and prayer, we have decided to bring this chapter of our lives to a close.
Many of you who have followed our journey know that our first grandchild was born almost 5 years ago, and a second followed 3 years later. With all our children and their families now living down south, Tennessee is definitely calling! The older we get, the more we realize how much we desire to be near family.
Reinspired Treasures was truly a dream, and closing the store will be one of the most difficult paths we’ve had to walk. We intended this little shop to take us into retirement… we just didn’t know we’d be retiring in the south! Our dearest friends have been our staff, vendors, and customers from this little shop — it’s truly those connections that have been the biggest blessings and what we will cherish the most.

In the meantime, please stop in and shop during our limited store hours, Friday 10a-6p and Saturday 10a-4p and enjoy great savings throughout the store.
